I bought a carved jade skeleton ,that is very old. Have tried to rsearch to no avail. where to go to research

Height is 36 inches made of nephrite jade apparently from Mongolia. very rare

Here is the Bay Area I would contact the U.C. Berkeley Museum complex, and follow their advice.  I would recommend starting with New York and Bay Area or your nearest university and follow up with museums, antiquitied, anthropology specialists.  Besides museums and universities, also check out auction firms (Sotheby's, etc. - they put out printed catalogs, too), perhaps contact the Antique Road Show on PBS.org for referrals.
