  1. No. You should take it to someone who knows how to do it and get it himmed.

  2. I jus usa stapla to make it up good.

  3. You can, if you know how; otherwise I'd just have it done by a professional.

  4. Yes you certainly can. Use a blind stitch so the thread won't show. Be sure the iron the bottom of the dress so it is flat and not puffy.

  5. NO bring it back and change it for the length you need OR take a piece of scrap and TRY it until you are satisfied with the result.

  6. Try taping it the way you want it and then, once you like the length and how it looks, get a needle with the same color thread as the dress and sew. It's really easy.

  7. Try a tailor it won't be expensive.

  8. It can be done of course but a few inches is a lot to take off without any experience.  You say you don't want to take the time to learn how to use the sewing machine so I suspect you also wouldn't really want to spend the time to learn how to hem a dress by hand.  This isn't a bad thing, just the way you are and that's okay.  But my advice is don't try to hem the dress.

If you do want to learn this it's easier if you have someone show you than it is to read about it in a book.
