I bought a game on ebay but it didn't work so I returned it and asked for an exchange or refund

I mailed it back to the seller, and after a few days he tries to accuse me of severely scratching the game and damaging it. I just returned it as I received it. After a few days of constant email he finally refunded my money after I had to go through PayPal and they let me know what to do.

I told the seller to refund my money in 24 hours or I was going to have to file a dispute through PayPal.

He then had the nerve to tell me I should be ashamed of myself for what I did and that they are going to file an investigation with ebay to confirm my illegal threats.

Can they actually do something???

Don't sweat it. You did everything right based on your story here. What can he do? Nothing!
