I bought a house on May 19, 2008. Do I get $7500 or $3750 on my next tax return?

I file taxes as single, and I'm the only person listed on my mortgage/title to this house. I think this article says I only get $3750 because I'm single. Is that true? What if I get married before the end of the year? Then can I claim $7500?

If you files your 2008 taxes as married...then you would be entitled to the $7500.  

Understand that this is a tax credit.  You will have to pay back $500.00 each year.
