  1. Usually when you buy a camera you have to put in a new memory card because the one they had was too small. Also check and make sure there are no other pictures on the camera. If all fails. Go to the place you got it from and ask for a new one, or ask them to look at the problem.


  2. Are you trying to use the tiny internal memory or do you have an actual 1GB or 2GB card?  In either case, use the format feature on your camera to format the card ... this will refresh your card and write new file folders and write new image index file.

    This weekend, a 2-pack of 2GB SD cards is selling for $20.  They will last the lifetime of that camera for sure

  3. Format the card.  It tends to be a fix-all type of solution.

  4. The camera may have been used as a demo.   Pull up what is on the card, and see what's there.   If actually full, erase the card.   If that fails to resolve the problem, take the camera back to the retailer, ask for a replacement, or maybe get a new memory card.
