I bought a new computer today??

Question

and i tried to download this program..

its called ebscn..

and when you download it .its suppose to be in chinese. but its not its like in weird symbols and letter.

we have another computer its kinda old and it works.

but this one dosn't so is it the computer's problem or do i have to do something. like set up something??

you have to install language pack from Microsoft or it won't be able to read it.

It shows symbols when the language of the program is unknown. So, I don't think you have the Chinese language pack on your computer. You can go to Microsoft's website and look for a Chinese language pack.

Or you can go to your Control Panel and look for Language and Regional Options. Then on the format tab, click Chinese PRC or whatever Chinese the program comes in. Then save it and try to install the program again.

you might not be having the chinese language fonts.. download the fonts package and then install it in your system.

It could be that the OS that is on your new PC, probably Vista, isn't supported by the the program.
