I bought a new crib on Ebay - is the mattress safe?

Question

Yesterday I picked up a brand new crib that I won on Ebay. The couple I bought it from said that they bought it for their daughter but didn't need it (I don't know if they were given another crib or what.) The mattress appears unused. I looked up the company on the internet to see if there were recalls or warnings about the mattress/crib. Nothing negative came up. Do you think it's safe to use the mattress?

You know if you haven't seen anything negative about the product then I would assume it's safe. You may want to look at http://www.memoryfoamreviews.com and see if there's any info on the mattress.
