Question:

I bought a pair of 12" energy subwoofers for my car that I would like to put in a ported box?

unfortunately there is no numbers included with these subs, the only thing I know is that a .75 cubic foot box is suggested for a sealed enclosure, anyone have any clue how to figure out what size ported box and port would work with these??

  1. If they only recommend a sealed box, then they probably aren't suitable for a ported box. Not all subs are suitable for ported boxes. If you want ported, you may need different subs. Putting those in a random ported box may give you a bad sound, and may make it so you blow your subs much more easily.


  2. well most companies don't make custom boxed foe specific subs unless its the kicker L5, or L7's because they require a square box. but a box i call sufficient enough for any subs is the Q-logic dual ported box. expensive but delivers all the power clean
