I bought a pioneer deck

Question

i bought a pioneer deck a few months ago and i just got subs and an amp today and me and my buddy hooked it all up and there's powering going to the amp and everything. anyways my problem is that my subs do not work and they work when i have a different deck hooked up so why wont they work with my pioneer
