I bought a salvia plant at a store..Is this the same kind of salvia I can smoke?

I bought a salvia plant at a nursery and I'm wondering if this is the same kind of salvia I can smoke. Is it? If so, how do I process it to make it smokable?

This is a strong drug.  Don't take it or smoke it.

You can smoke any type of plant I suppose, but only salvia divinorum (also known as diviners sage) will get you high. There are many many other types of salvia though, and if you just bought it in a store chances are you just bought sage. Most stores don't sell the right type.

If it actually is the right type my understanding is that you just dry and smoke the leaves.

There are many different types of salvia, and I'm not exactly sure what kind is smokeable. I would advise not smoking it until you've identified the type of plant.
