I bought a sharp 903sh

I bought a sharp 903sh online through YesAsia. On my pc it shows up a sx833. I can't make or receive calls but it will send and receive texts. System sounds eg text arriving,are fine but the voice recorder doesn't record and when I ring my landline and it goes to answerphone the timer records as if it is connected but no message is recorded. It is Vodaphone branded though supplied unlocked for UK.Hope you can help 'cos I really like a lot of its features. Thanks for your time.
