I bought a stolen phone off craigslist... What do I do?

I payed through paypal and had it shipped... when i tried to activate it, it was on the lost and stolen list... I tried to email him and ask how he got it but i received no response... (i try to assume the best)... I know i want to get the phone back to the original owner, but does anyone know if i can get my money back?

Who is the carrier? I hope It's not metro pcs It sounds like a metro pcs problem to me.  look you made the purchase to save money, and I understand that you are Mad but.... you lost your money.  I own a cell phone store (carrier unspecified) and I think your only hope is to find the owner of the phone and hope for a reward.

You should contact Paypal.  I know that they have a customer service for this type of incident.  However, I wouldn't expect a great response out of them.  I purchased a guitar on eBay and it never showed up.  Paypal wouldn't refund me the money.

contact pay pal - i got my money back when I bought something and the seller didn't  send it to me .

but it took some time

your money is gone but you can get the phone back to the original owner and hope they give you a reward!

Theres not really any thing you can do i would go to a store where the phone is sold like if its a Verizon fone go to a verizon store and tell them and who knows u may get a fone
