I took it to the dealer where i bought it. I have one payment left with them. The car is as is I understand that, He put in an odometer from another car in my car before telling me. Then charged me 60.00 bucks for it. To my understanding he should have set the used odometer to zero. But he did not. They were to also fix a leak from my antifreeze. The leak was not fixed. Well now the engine locked up and the car wont start. Do I have a lawsuit? They are really mean to me now.

  1. Try visiting an auto repair center in Georgia. http://www.autorepairshoplocator.com/Geo... They can help you get on the right track. Try calling a few shops and compare what they say.

  2. my god why would you ever buy a car from a place like that. it sounds like  you took the worst deal you could find. why would you ever buy a car from a place that fiddles with the odometer. did you have you car inspected by your trusted technition before you bought it. for all you know they ****** up the odometer from trying to set it back. and doing other ****** up things to the car. you ****** up by buying it from them. plus why buy a car from a big dealer they could give a **** about you the best is the small  places that only sell used cars. that way you can force them to fix anything before you buy it the big ones will fix it up okay and charge you a fortune for c**p.

  3. There has to be a form filled out by the dealership, when the odometer is changed out. This is Federal law, and the miles can not be placed at Zero, the miles has to be set at the miles which were on the odometer taken out of your vehicle.

Thats why dealerships use a flash software when replacing speedo's, and this repair is highly documented for the reson of illegal means for keeping track of the miles on vehicles.

Many dealerships have lost their licence, fined, and or imprisoned due to illegal changes in the odometer.

These laws both apply to Federal and State Laws, governing these activities.
