  1. Probably a stolen vehicle.

    Many times they stamp a fake VIN plate and put it in the place of the original so the vehicle is hard to trace, but there are other ways to find out who the real owner is.

    Call the police and let them sort it out.


  2. THere is no history.. A lot of smart people don't take take their cars to places that report to places like car fax.  Usually places that report are rip offs or the dealer.  And some people just don't have accidents.. ALso NEVER trust thoes Carfax places they are way way off the real history anyways..

  3. It means they have no record of that VIN number and cannot give you it's history.  This doesn't mean it has no history just that they don't know about it.  They do not have a history for each and every car in the world.
