  1. yeah i think you should tell to your internet provider that you wanna change the typ of connection.they will make your phone number able

to work with your new wireless device.

you can not do it like that,is not going work.

    hope help.

    g luck

  2. It is possible to use internet connection sharing, but will probably be complicated.  I would suggest upgrading to DSL.  Your internet experience will be greatly improved.

  3. You wasted your money buying a router.  What you really need is 2 wireless adapters running in Ad-Hoc mode.  That means both computers need to have a wireless device.  You then need to setup Internet connection sharing on one computer.

I hope you know that if you have 2 phone lines and you are using the second one only for the Internet, you can get DSL for the same price.  In many cases, you can actually drop your dislup ISP and your second phone line for DSL and get Internet cheaper that way.

Anyway, getting back to the router, you still need to use a computer to share the Internet with other computers even though you have a router.  When you have high speed, the router is the gateway for connecting to the Internet.  With dialup, you must share the Internet using a computer.

  4. yes i think u  need it
