  1. If you can get the data off the disk you can convert to mpeg, or you can choose a region option on some laptops.

  2. The region code is not supposed to be bypassed.  I have heard of 'hacks' for some video cards that get around it.  Most computer systems let you set the Region number, but you're only allowed to change it a few times (generally the limit is five or six times).

You could contact the publisher and ask if there is a DVD available with your region code.  You're in region 2, 3, or 6 depending on where in Asia.

Or, you could just order a cheap Region 1 DVD player.

  3. you need a DVD ripping program which can strip out regional codes. On a Mac you could use MacTheRipper http://www.mactheripper.org which is freeware. I am not sure what is available for a PC but I am sure there are loads out there.

Anyway once you have ripped the DVD you will then need to burn a fresh copy using the files you have extracted with the ripper program. Again on the Mac, Roxio Popcorn http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/popcor... would do this very well.

Google "DVD Ripper" to find what you are looking for.
