I bought an intex pool 15' and filled with well water and it is green any suggestions it cant be algae?

  1. As I'm sure you know well water isn't chlorinated.  It is also usually very balanced making it a great place for algae to go quickly.


  2. Did you add all the chemicals, like chlorine and shock it? I would call a place that sells pools and ask them to be sure.

  3. it could be sediment.  also, there could be algea growth if the chlorine level isn't in balance.

  4. I would check with a local pool supply store and ask about having your water tested and they can make recommendations.  You might then want to buy the chemicals at Wal-Mart which is sometimes less expensive. I bought chemicals for my 12 foot pool three years ago and we are still using same bottles (stabilizer, shock and algae/pH control) because they are packaged  for huge pools.
