I bought an item from ebay n used paypal?

Question

i have recently bought a phone from ebay and i have used my paypal account .They have taken the money from my account and now they are asking me to send identyfication to tell them who i am .They want me to send a picture of a bill or something like that .Is it ok to do or does it sound abit dodgy ?

I'm a powerseller and this is the first time I have ever heard of anything like this

Go into Your Paypal details and open a dispute with them this will lock up their account them tell them to ship your item

You have already paid for the item after all

I assume you mean the people you paid through Paypal.

Don't give them them anything.  The whole purpose of Paypal is to guarantee credibility of payer and payee.  In fact, report them to Paypal right away.  I'm sure Paypal does not want anyone like that using their service.

i would say you need to confirm your address with paypal by doing this ir covers you and the seller from fraud ,who is asking for the information the seller or paypal ,if its the seller email them the transaction no they have your ebay user id whre they can check if your details match those of the paypal

do not give any details of pass word or bank details  has the seller got good feedback

Who is "they"? Paypal, or the seller? If it's the seller, it's probably because your address isn't confirmed with Paypal and they (seller) don't want to get stung.

Sounds dodgy. I use paypal the whole time and have never had to do anything other than authorize payment

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!  There's never any guarantee you'll get your goods and you never get a full refund through paypal.  Learned my lesson in the past.  Why would they need id AFTER they've taken the dosh?  They've got the money, what more do they need.
