  1. Did you drip your tank water into a container holding the anemone first? Because the salt in the bag from the store most likely has a different gravity then your tank.  Also when you introduce any species in your tank you also have to leave the light off for awhile so that the fish will get use to than tank without being stressed.

Is the feet part still standing on the bottom of the tank or on the side of the glass. This is a salt water tank you have isn't it?

  2. A few thing could be upsetting your anemone.  First, your water quality.  What are the readings right now in your tank?  Salinity?

No two tanks are exactly alike and an anemone is a water connoisseur.

If your tank is different than that from which he came, he is getting used to your tank.

Also, how old is your tank?  Newer tanks are not for anemone.  You need to have mature salt tank to house anemone.

Did you try to feed him or has he fed since you put him in the tank?  Often when they are done eating they will shrink to almost nothing.

How long did you float him?  Not allowing inverts (especially) to acclimate to the new water places them in a bit of a stress full situation.

Allow him to acclimate to the tank for a few days.  Test your water to be sure your ammonia isn't spiking.  See if he perks up or if he eats.

  3. well do you have the proper lighting and water quality? has your tank been up and running successfully for at least 6 months? did you acclimate it properly?  If everything is good with your tank, it might just take some time to get use to the new surroundings.
