  1. tak 'em for return get a gerbil!!! just kidding

  2. yo dont worry, i had the same problemo with my hamsters when i first got them, frstly let them just get use to there cage, just let them  be for a couple of days. Once theyve got use to everything offer them a treat like a  peanut, raisin, almond etc once they start taking them of u theyll groww in confidence, then start placin the treat on ur hand so they have to climb on to it to get the treat. once they get use to it theyll star running on in know time. now all u need to do is to gently stroke them they start accepting u as  friend and not a foe. But rember this can take time so just be patient. it took me two months

when cleaning if u get desperate just put on a pair of gloves, but still be gentle so u dont frighten them

  3. Hamsters can be loving pets if you take care of them and are aware of things. Here are the things you need to do:

    Making the cage:

    What you need:

    1. I recommend you dont use wood shavings, use something called

"Carefresh" you can find it at most pet stores and it is better for the hamsters. 3. Depending where you live, if it is cold you might want to get a "SAM bed fluff" this is optional more for the comfort of the hamsters. 4.  water bottle 5. fresh water(tap is fine) 6. food bowl 4.For food it doesnt real matter but i recommend food called "Kaytee Perfect Choice Premium Hamster Food"

    What you do:

    1. 1. NEVER use any cleaners unless you absolutely have to. If you do rinse it out REALLY good with water.

    2. Put down bedding spread evenly around the cage.

3.Fill the water bottle with the fresh water

4 Fill the food bowl with food

    5. If you did get the fluffy stuff put a little ball of that stuff somewhere. It doesnt matter where cause the hamsters will move it where they want.

ok thats really it about making the cage.

    Cleaning the cage:

    1. If you have a tall plactic box NO LID(where the hamsters cant get out) put them in there while you clean the cage. MAKE SURE SOMEONE IS WATCHING THEM AT ALL TIMES. If you dont have a box get a hamster cage from the pet store with a lid.( that may work better depending on how many hamsters you have)

    2. Take all the bedding out and throw it away.

    3. Wash it out with a hose or something.(If it is really dirty I would boil some water and do that because it kills all the germs) Like I said NEVER use cleaning products unless you have to.(sorry just that is really important)

    4. empty the food and water bowl

    5. Put fresh food and water in

    6.Spread the bedding again.

ok so thats how you clean the cage

    Taking Care of the Hamster:

    1. One of the most important things about hamsters is their teeth. Hamsters have to be able to knaw on something to shorten their teeth.

You can buy knawing toys at the pet shop or something I did was just take a empty toilet paper roll(make sure there is no paper still on it) and give it to the hamster( That worked with some of my hamsters others they actually would only chew the store bought toys.)

As far as biting: Some of my hamsters would bite to. what I did was I got a pair of those gardening gloves and just wore them.

    Hope I helped. Good Luck!! : )

  4. clean out the cage once a week. dump out all the bedding and replace it with new bedding. once a month thoroughly  clean the entire cage with and ammonia/water blend. rinse it out thoroughly and wash out all traces of water.

hamsters will probably bite you, but you CANNOT HURT THEM! go slowly and take your time. do not rush and let your hamster get used to you and its environment before you hold them.

  5. dont be scared of some hamsters, what i did was grab them by the body and put them in the sink and and closed the drain and put a dab of water in there so there feet would sleep and wouldnt get out of the sink. then i just cleaned there cage. just make sure u dont reach for them in an agressive mann cause then they might bite u. my 2 hamsters never bit bit, u gotta lay out ur hand palm up let them smell u and they might go into ur hand if not just gently pick them up.

  6. First of all, next time do your research before you buy a pet.

Second, do not hold for about 2 - 3 days. So they can explore.

Third, talk to them so the get used to your voice.

Fourth, when the 2 -3 days are up start just putting your hand in the cage.

    Hope this Helps

  7. after a week you can get a box ( the same box you broguht them home in) and put some treats inside. they will crawl in, then put the box somewhere while you clean the cage. after you hand tame them you can pick them by yourself, but for the time being use the box method.

  8. You should buy a : Habitrail Den, Or Habitrail Travel Unit.  You should open it and put treats in it. put it at the cage door and let him come in. Close door and then clean his cage. put him back when done.

  9. Ok.  Not to long ago I went through the same thing.   Buy a cage that is big enough for two hamsters.  Put them in their cage one at a time. No, they won`t try to bite you, they will just squrim.  When it comes to cleaning time, put the hamsters in separate hamster balls and dump the old bedding, rinse the bottom of the cage, and put fresh in.  Always make sure that you are able to hold your hamsters everyday so that they will know who you are.

  10. Dont be scared or flinch near them they will get scared.

all you need to do is eave them for 48 hours before handling them.

when you are about to get them out of their cage , wash your hands and rub your hands in the sawdust, so they dont bite.

clean out their cage in  about a week when they are allowed in their ball so they can stay there or you could put them in the bath tub with the plug in and they will happily play in there.

    i hope this helped x
