No. This is one of the disadvantage of using Norton.

Uninstall Norton and get another anti-virus.

I would suggest that you get Avast Home Edition version 4,

which is free for personal use.

Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do

a boot time scan in safe mode and it will remove the entire virus on your PC.

Even those viruses that hide inside the system restore folder.

Windows utilize a restore utility that backs up selected files

automatically to the System volume information /System Restore folder.

This means that an infected file could be stored there as a backup file,

and most anti-virus programs will be unable to delete these files. You

must disable the System Restore Utility to remove the infected files

from the folder if you use another brand of anti-virus. However, you do

not need to do so if you use Avast to do a boot up scan in safe mode.

No you can not because every year norton upgrade the CD to install it and they are only are only in shops.I advise you to buy it at argos since I believe its cheaper there and you can't get new norton installments for free. Get norton 2008. If you use norton cd once then it can install for the computer that was installing it. That is why I advise you not to borrow from a friend because if you use it and its already used then your friend can't use it and if its haven't been used and you use it then your friend can't use it. I suggest you buy it every singe year since new updates comes out every single year. Its better to get new updates since it protects you better from viruses than the old updates.
