I bought one of those water filters, to drink water...but it still tastes awful...why..?

  1. Only reverse ozmosis will remove all impurities, minerals in water can still be soluble from blending with water molecules, have you put a zine and iron element in the water did it come up green?

    Basically water taste can be even effected from water filters not being replaced at about six months, nothing lasts forever all you can do is hope to delay aging?


  2. What kind of water filter did you use? Some of them require you to turn on the filter and run it for a few minutes to get the stuff out of it before you can use it.

    I know that for the PUR brand ones that attach to your faucet, you have to do that.

    If you did do that and it still tastes bad, check the FAQ/instructions that came with the filter. Usually they'll say something about that sort of thing.

    Otherwise, you may just not be accustomed to the taste of filtered/tap water.

  3. make sure you followed the directions right.
