  1. Nobody seems to sell that remote.   You could likely buy it from Sony, but they'd probably want 3 prices for it.

I'd just get a nice universal model and program it to run your Sony.

  2. RM-AAL003 is the Model number. Below is a link to get the original equipment remote for the best price I could find. The model number for the remote is almost always in the Owners manual, BTW.

On another issue, I wonder why you would make a purchase without the remote? What I am left with is the idea either you purchased second hand from a friend (who obviously did not care for it), or you purchased it as a display model from a store. Unless you got an extreme deal like a couple of hundred bucks it was a bad deal, most displays are used with a speaker selector and just a couple of speakers. The display model will most likely sit on 16 hours a day with the amps just cooking as the signal is not being used and all that energy must be dissipated, and in the cubby hole environment with little air circulation and dust from who knows how long prematurely running these into the ground. Plus who knows how many jerks have slugged the buttons or how often it has been pulled out and slammed back in to check the back?!

    Ask yourself these questions:

Why aren't the audiophiles jumping at these "great" deals?

Why doesn't an employee do the same?

    Why the "steep" discount?

What is the new model selling for, and can I get the same features and quality in a new lower series current model?

Good luck, and happy listening. It may not be too late you always have 3 days no matter what terms were made in the sale.
