I bought this tv stand and..?

i got it home and the glass was broken. i bought it where i work but i dont want to take it back to that store, so im going to take it to another store that has it (fyi they are the same store just different locations) i have a duplicate reciept and my mom has the orignal. she was the one who actually bought it for me. this is my plan im going to take it back to the different store and say "i bought this yesterday at your store on ..... and i thought it was the hardware shaking around but when i got it home it was the glass that broke. that my story do you think i should change it and if i do to what. i only have the duplicate receipt.. help

why not just take it back to the original store that you work at?  At least there people know you and know you aren't lying.  Whats the big deal?
