I have just bought a used pair of K2 Public Enemy skis (year 04/05). They seem to be quite a bit stiffer and heavier than my old Blizzard skis. Also, the skis are 180cm and I am 6 ft tall. Will these skis affect my skiing in any way? If so how will they?

  1. The heavier ski will probably be a little faster than your old ski (depending on the sidecut).  Also it will probably hold an edge on ice/hardpack a little better.  However, if you ski mostly deep powder, the heavier/stiffer ski may create problems for you.  It may also be a little tougher to ski moguls.

Depending on the sidecut, the 180's might be a little long for you.
