  1. Well, it didn't kill you.  But too much can.  I think the worst thing that happened to you is now your body just has to process the co2 out of your system.  But that won't even take an hour.


  2. If you breathe in excess amounts, yes.

    It doesn't allow a chemical reaction to take place in your cells. CO2 is a "waste" product in your body.

    That is if you STAY in it, it's not deadly if yoy are in a low concentration for a little while

    If you only breathed in carbon dioxide you would eventually suffocate from lack of oxygen - however that clearly has not happened to you.

    Incidentally, that's also what they use to carbonate fizzy drinks.
