  1. Sometimes they are too immature and do not quite know what to do. Are they old enough? It could take a few tries, but give a couple of months rest inbetween. Could also be that your male is not fertile.

  2. do you have a male in there? as you probly no they need to be fertile, also i had a similar problem but then eventually there was fertile eggs fingers crossed for you

  3. Diet is the most important factor to breeding birds and that includes Rosella's,having bred Golden mantled and Mealy Rosella's.

Not knowing which one you have and what s*x they are have you a definite pair.?

What age are they,as they need to be at least 12-16 months before they breed.(hence that is why your eggs are duff)

They need for a successful breeding to be in a separate aviary of their own.

Diet .A good Budgie mix, with the addition of Oats(soaked and sprouting is best) a little Hemp and Sunflower Black /White.

A good supply of Greens such as Spinach ,Broccoli,Kale and if you live in the U.K. Dandelion Leaves and Seeding head prior to them bursting,Sweet Corn Cobs,Fruit,(Apple, Pear,Melon.)

Also a good supply of fruit tree twigs all help to bring them into condition.

    They also relish Seeding grasses.

Don't forget Cuttle bone and Mineral block.

As I say not knowing where you live the breeding season is  normally in the early spring of which hemisphere you are in?

    Hope this bit of info.helps.

  4. Hi,

Firstly if you've got dud eggs then you may not have a male or well he might not be interested in females. I know though that some species are extremely hard to s*x so this may be why you are getting dud eggs. But secondly if you have just started breeding them and are a novice then bird sellers will normally rip you off and this has happened to me many times with sellers selling birds which they say are a pair but later on when you become more experienced then you find they are not.

  5. yes put they are reproducing so it had no harm  and that's is a good thing as it shows that your bird is healthy and that's a good thing as its is breeding their own kind
