  1. If they are not likely to become a pest in your area, you could release them somewhere as a treat for the insectivorous birds, and reptiles.

I used to put out crickets in an uncovered storage bin (they couldn't climb out).  Mockngbirds would come down and pick them up out of the bin.

Nobody ever feeds mockingbirds, as they eat bugs not seeds.  But I have.

  2. Check in your local phone book.  Is their an animal rehab center you could donate your extra crickets too?  You could recieve a tax write off, and really help out a rehab center.

I'm sure you already know, but a rehab center that has birds, reptiles, monkeys and many, many of the exotic pets all eat crickets as part of their diet.

Or get yourself some laying hens, and have some of the healthiest eggs, and happiest hens on the block!

  3. just take the left over out and , and start feeding them less than you would give them

  4. I used to give my spare crickets to some other guys I knew who raised reptiles and could use them.

After a particularly egregious accident released several thousand crickets into my apartment, I gave up on my cricket ranch.
