I brought Universal Remote and it didn't come with a codes list how do I program the remote?

I GOT IT FOR MY MOM FROM LTD COMMODITIES AND IT NEVER CAME WITH DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO PROGRAM THIS REMOTE. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

It's kind of hard if we don't know what remote it is, but many of them can be programmed by going into some mode, and pressing the button on a regular remote to allow the universal remote to pick up the frequency, and then have it programmed to one of its buttons.

Usually if you hold the set button or program then whatever device hitting the power button until the tv shuts off then hitting program or set again will program most remotes.  otherwise look for a number under the battery cover and google it.
