    DVDs use Mpeg-2, so your video clips need to be transcoded to that format and be in the proper DVD structure. You can't just copy them onto a DVD disc. You must use a program like Nero.

    Or, if you've done all the above properly, it could be that your DVD player won't play dvd-rw's or at least the brand you're using. Maximum compatibility is achieved with DVD-Rs, write-once media. Get a good name brand like TDK, Maxell or Fuji. Generally you should stay away from store brands.
