  1. No, workman comp will probably pay for your dr visit but you can't sue them or anything for something that was your fault! And as far as them letting you drive home...its not like you cut your hand off. That would be a different story!

  2. if you have to go the dr they will have to pay for it. And if you push the issue possibly they will have to pay for some time unable to work. other than that nope.

  3. i used to be a manager at mcdonalds they should have asked you if you felt likeyou needed medical atten. but i really dont think there is anything you can do to them as long as they pay for any medical bills you may incur if you have to go to the doctor

  4. Does the burn need treatment? If not, you have no issue.

If it does, tell your manager you want to file a workmen's compensation claim and get the burn treated. You won't have to pay for medical bills relating to the burn.

  5. Sorry you burnt your hand, but I don't think you can do anything, unless you can prove that McD was in the wrong.  Should of been more careful, my friend.

  6. You should go to the doctor and indicate it is a worker's compensation claim.  Their workers comp insurance will cover any medical costs.  If you are part time, you are probably not entitled to any paid time off.  I assume, since you're typing, that the burn was not debilitating but you should consult the general manager or your owner/operator if you have any specific questions about how to proceed.  The worker's comp rules should be clearly posted in your store.

  7. Like what? File a workers comp claim. Get over it.

  8. I had a similar incident happen to me.  You did the right thing by filling out an accident report.  In my case, the owner of my franchise cut me a check for my medical expenses and for any medical supplies I needed as it was cheaper than going through comp.  You got hurt on the job, they're responsible, don't sweat it.
