I've been applying ice on it since but it still stings. and the piece of skin that was burnt, on my thumb, is all white and bubbly like sometimes when you get out of the pool and it's like basically dead skin. anyone have any idea on how to ease the pain other than ice??

  1. applying toothpaste in a burn immediately after u got burned will cool it and helps lessen d pain plus it prevents d burn from developing blisters.but i think u have a blister already........

  2. just keep ice on it for a long time. sit in front of the television and just keep ice on it for as long as you can. obviously take the ice off every 15 minutes or so so you dont go givingy our skin freezer burn. the ice will help soothe it and make the burn less dramatic. but honestly keep it VERY CLEAN and put neosporin on it and wrap it with a bandage when you go to work or if youre out and about in public bcuz burns can and do get infected and it becomes bad when that happens. especially now a days with all these crazy resistent strains of staph bacteria growing around you dont want to be out and about with an uncovered burn bcuz its broken skin,. keep ice on it when you have leisure time to yourself and keep it clean and bandaged up . trust me it will heal quicker and without risk of infection. GOOD LUCK!

  3. Ice is basically pretty much all you can do. Just keep the ice applied it will hurt but it will help

  4. Do not use ice or ice water!!! It can cause further damage!!

Run it under cool water. Make sure you keep the area very clean and dry. The presence of a bubble can indicate a 2nd degree burn. When the bubble bursts a clear liquid may come out. Make sure you clean the area and put on a dry, sterile bandage (preferably a gauze pad or 2nd Skin Burn Pads).

See your doctor if it doesn't begin to get better.

  5. I would keep it in icy water.

  6. Ice is it. Do not brake the skin and don't bandage it, air is the best for it.

In the morning you can apply neosporin but leave blister intact.

  7. most likely i would put ice on it not so much water.

let it blister then put some neos p**n on it and if it get infected at all go to a doctor and get some antibiotics.
