  1. keep in mind that terrain park riders like the smaller boards where as downhill riders stick with the longer ones.

the board, in length, should stand between your nose and chin.

when i started out at 13(i was still growing) so i got it up to my nose.

i started off in freeriding then when i could easily and comfortably ride the hard blue runs, i started with terrain parks.

for riding terrain park i widen my stance.

get an all over mountain board that works for both areas of the slopes :)

if you get REALLY good and start leaning more towards terrain or downhill, then maybe buy a board that is specifically designed for whatever you choose.

    hope this helps

  2. im 5'8" and im looking to buy a new all mountain board about 152 - 154cm. so i would suggest a 147 - 151 cm for you.

more freestyle specific boards are shorter and more flexible and more free ride specific boards are longer and stiffer.

many people suggest frostyrider.com as a sizing calculator for snowboards... try it out

good luck finding your new board and have fun riding!!!

EDIT: dont trust the 'between the chin and nose' for a good length.. thats just a rule of thumb that definitly doesn't work for everyone

experienced riders in your near by shops can help you out and will probably be your best bet in finding the board that fits you

    good luck!!

  3. dont worry about the width or the length more weight boards are done by weight not length

so beginner, all mountain o-matic benetar is a great board for your needs

but try some out first whats a good board for one person my ot be the best for another, dont get lost in gimicks and store advice try try try! basic is best

  4. You are light...I am 5'6 125 lbs (chick) and ride a 148. You would be good with anything in the high 140's. And width doesn't really matter with shorter boards (meaning the width becomes an issue with either larger-than-average female feet, or male boards in the 150's and 160's)So unless your feet are bigger than a female 10 or so then you won't have to worry about that.

  5. Defnitally don't listen to snitch when he says 'dont worry about the length'

the width isnt that important, a normal board will do just fine [they make boards with a W after the size which means wide, but you definitally wont need that unless you have big feet to reduce toe drag]

its hard to say what size will be best for you..

the best sizing is between your nose and chin..

lower in size for park riding and such

taller in size for free riding/ powder

im 5'1 and ride a 140 but i ride all park

so i'd say probably something like a 145-148

check out rome, they are the best boards out there for womens park and free riding these days you wont regret it!
