I came here to Quang Binh to open a dinner theatre and inject a little high culture here, so what show . . . ?

. . . should I produce as our inaugural production?

At first I thought we should do something that would be a guaranteed hit, like "Cats," but I think the combination of those thick costumes and this 132% humidity would give the actors a severe case of crotch rot and prompt them to go on strike.

Someone has suggested doing "Miss Saigon," but I'm really not up to the task of hiring armed guards to prevent rioting.

I'm also considering doing Disney's "High School Musical," but the problem is that all the actors here in Quang Binh are heterosexual. So THAT'S a no-go.

Do you think an all-Asian production of "Porgy & Bess" would be well received? I want to do something important and relevant!

The musical "State Fair" will be the featured entertainment. It will be put on by the state, since Vietnam is still a communist country. The actors will all be worker's heroes. I answered this question just to Hanoi you.

I can't remember the name of the show I saw in Quang Binh years ago. It was about an animal lover. It was pretty much a one woman play about a woman and her special friend, a little pony. That was it! My Little Pony! Yes, it showed twice nightly, three times on weekends. Very popular with the men.
