  1. Hello,

    I was an Au-pair in Italy and I can offer some advice. Network with other Au-Pairs.  There is a whole network of them once you find them :)  I knew a bunch of girls from my family that I lived with.  Ask your family if there friends have Au-pairs you can meet up with.  My family introduced me to there friends Au-Pairs and it was really nice because they want friends too since they are in a new place as well.

  5. Afternoon, friends, best way would to go down to a cafe, pub or socialising place get to know the staff, know the locals in the pubs etc and then they will introduce you to their friends. Good luck!!!

  6. take your children to parks, playgroups etc, and make friends with the other au pairs there.
