Certainly its a work of a trojan. Id folder options is disabled i believe regeistry editor as well as taskmanger would have been disabled too.Scan your computer for infections.

Sometimes restrictions can be put by Administrator but i see that you are the only user.

Alternative locations where you can find folder options

    1. Control panel > folder options

    2. Click on start menu > then on RUN, and type

    Control folders

    hit enter

Alternative ways to solve your problem

    1. click on start menu>then RUN and type this in that box

    gpedit.msc

Then browse to this location on the window

->User Configuration ->Administrative Templates --> Windows Components --> Windows Explorer-> Removes the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu.

    Right click:

    Properties -> Disable ->Apply

    2. Again go to RUN , this time type

    Regedit

A windows opens up , browse to this folder by expanding(+ sign)

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\W...

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\...

when you highlight policy by clicking on it make sure on the right pane there is no key called

    disablefolderoptions

if there is delete it or change the value to zero by doubleclicking on it.
