I can't add my Visa debit card to m y paypal account i encounter an error!?

so i got this new Debit Visa card from bank of america, when i try to add it to paypal it says "This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. "

so when i rec'd my card, there was no number to activate it with, it said "activate card at any ATM machine" so i went to a bank of america ATM machine and checked my balance, but didn't withdraw/deposit, could it be that they didn't activate it? please helppppppppp... :( =( need help!

you need to call them to activate it. The number is on the back of your card.

I am going to guess that seeing you only checked your balance and didnt actually use the card to withdraw or purchase anything since, then your bank is probably watching out for you and just need to verify that it is YOU using your card to make an on line purchase.  Seems like a hassle, but the bank has no idea who is trying to make an online purchase, and is trying to keep you dafe.
