  1. check out your human services department -  if you are working or going to school during the time your child is in preschool, and you qualify, they will pay 100% for your child to attend.

  2. Check into a Headstart program.

  3. where in MI do you live?

  4. Find out if local preschools have a sliding scale. Call and ask a school if they do income based fees. Also, find out if Michigan does child care assistance through TANF. Sometimes families qualify for that when they don't qualify for Head Start. To find out you'll need to contact a local TANF or Welfare Assistance office. Good luck!

  5. Head Start is for people who can't afford a preschool program. but sometimes there is a long waiting list but it is worth a try.

  6. If your local High School has a tech center, they might have a free preschool.
