  1. We moan when its hot

    We moan when its cold

    Bloody English

    What are we like

  2. Tell me about it!

    And im indoors aswell!

    Try to wear less clothes..

    Turn the fans up high!

  3. Strip down to your shorts and put the fan on the window sill.

It is the same here in Dublin.

    Very humid.

  4. Don't worry, storms Monday night & showers rest of week in UK.  Or so the forecast says.

  5. STOP MOANING! I'm in London too, and it's great! Our summers have been c**p, so it's nice to get great weather, especially at the weekend!

Take a cold shower, have a cool drink, and sit in the garden just like I am doing now. The breeze has picked up a little, and I am cool as a cucumber! Enjoy!

  6. hot? i've stayed in my freezing cold air conditioned room all day!

  7. I am so hot i have the back door open the fan on and still no wind! And i have had a shower! ITS SO ANNOYING!!

  8. i was raised in the south east of the united states. back home they have what is known as a swamp cooler. it's a water evaporation cooling system. google it. you could make a simple one yourself w/o too much effort.

  9. its really hot her too, have a cold shower

  10. Take a cool shower, and then another one. Wear flip flops and shorts and stick to the rooms on the north face of your house. Drink chilled water from the fridge, but not too much as too much can make you ill.

  11. Take a shower...but don't dry completely...stand by the fan...wear loose clothing made of natural fibres...cotton

  12. take off all clothes that you can get away with and turn the fans on full and try not to be toomobile until you have completely cooled down...i remember the other year they recommended not to open windows on days like this because all you do is let the hot air in and sometimes it makes it worse

  13. I know it sounds silly but it does work cut end off cucumber wipe on inside of wrists and forehead  I will be putting some in my bag when I go out tomorrow

  14. dont be a sissy..SHHHH,say nowt .

  15. open windows, but keep blinds/ cutains closed so as the heat doesnt come in.

run cold water over your wrists and that will cool the blood fastest. plenty of cold drinks. cold showers. try make sure you dont have loads of electrics on because they all make more heat.

dont worry though, the weather is supposed to cool down soon.

im fine tbh, my room has had its windows open both sides and the wind has been going through the bedroom and tis fairly .. cold :p

  16. ommmyy gossh

    Samee Here.

What I Do Strip Down To The Least Amount Of Clothes Possible.

Put Thee Fans On High , Or If They Are Movable Put Them Close To You.

Dont Open All The Windows As Flies May Comee In Especially Them Anoyying Flying Ants

Keep Drinking Water With Ice And Have A Cold Showerr.

Plus If You Are Sitting On Leather Put A Sheet Under You *** You Will Not Stick Too It Anymore.

    Ok

    Hope I Helped :)

  17. Yoiu think this is warm?!?

I have been in 49 degrees celsius!

You should think again before moning, and maybe get yourself abroad to a hot country to aclimatise.

  18. Try taking a cold shower or bath, and just leave your hair wet to help it cool you off.  Drink cold beverages, and eat cold food.  Pick up some frozen treats that you can eat to help you cool down, too, or just suck on ice cubes if you don't want something sweet.

Wear light, loose clothing, or if no one can see in your windows, go naked.  You can even do something like drape a cold, wet towel around your neck or shoulders (you can freeze the towel ahead of time).

It won't help now, but cover any windows while sun is shining through them, especially in the mornings.  If it is colder inside than outside, sometimes it can help to close up the windows now, especially if you aren't getting any sort of breeze.

Also, go out and find some public area that is air conditioned or has a good breeze.

  19. London sits in a bowl and when we get heavy hot moist air with no breeze, it tends to stay put somewhere at the bottom of the soup bowl in which London stands.

I know exactly what you felt like.

Problem with UK is that often when it hits the upper 80s Farenheit, it is also very humid.

Back in the early 1960s, I spent three of my 9 army years on the island of Cyprus.  Yes it was hot, but never humid and thus the high temps were bearable.

If the humidity in London gets unbearable, head for the coast.  Here's a handy SE England railway map. . . .
