I can't believe I lied! What do I do?

Question

I lied to my friend about getting my ears peirced and I was supposed to get them that day (this was in July) but then I didn't and I am going to see her tomorrow and I don't know what to tell her. Right now I am talking to her on the phone. I have been avoiding her all summer. I know that if I give her time she will be able to forgive her. But she wants to get together next weekend. What should I do? I have to say I think this is the first time I have ever lied. I have never been in this much trouble.

first of all- you aren't in trouble, you are human, humans make mistakes, (lies) IT'S OK! promise.

Just tell her openly and honestly that you lied and you got your ears peirced without telling her. If she's your real friend, she'll forgive you

you should have just told her what happened when it happened. but when you see her you should be like "i thought i told you!" its not that bad. if you were supposed to get them pierced, and something prevented you from doing it, then just tell her. she will understand.

just confess and tell her. cause if you hide it all inside, it may lead to another lie; which will keep growing and growing and growing. you dnt want to get in a habit of lying or else it can become as easy as breathing. just tell her you're sorry and maybe she can come with you next time you go to try and get your ears pierced. you guys can have a fun girly time!!!!!!!!! =]

Then be honest and tell her why you did it . Or if you don't wanna do that tell her you have plans next weekend or that something popped up and you can't but I would tell her the truth on the phone .

u could come clean and say, 'im sry, i dont know why i lied, i just didnt want u to think..."

or clip on earrings but u should get ur ears pierced soon after you do that
