I have a 2.0 Ipod touch. when it was 1.1.5 and jail broken, I put on a wallpaper. I kept trying to remove it but it wouldn't come off. so I restored it, and ended up making it 2.0. Its still there, and i cant remove it or change it and I don't know how to fix it.

  1. jailbreaking it was a bad idea. apple may find out and fine you and they can also take your ipod. sorry.

  2. Ok jailbreaking is NOT illegal. Apple wants you to think it is but it is not. You and apple made an exchange. You gave them $400 and they gave you an iPod. Jailbreaking will void the warranty but it is your iPod now, not Apples.

In order to completely get rid of it you have to get a program called winSCP. Then enter your iPod's ip address for the host name, "root" for the username and either "alpine" or "dottie" for the password. Then go into the folder var/mobile/Library directory and delete LockBackground.jpg

It is actually pretty easy to do. Just follow the directions on the links provided and you'll be fine. Good luck!

  3. good question....I still haven't upgraded

  4. jail breaking is illegal and crashes your iPod I'm guessing that's your problem when you put on your wallpaper then jail broke it something malfunctioned and made it so you cant fix the wallpaper

oh and by the way you can't turn it in to apple to fix because jail breaking also voids your warranty
