I like Eleanor Claire as a combination.  My daughter's middle name is Claire so I'm partial to that one, but Eleanor is beautiful!  I also like Anne.

I don't think Ellie is substantial enough for a name. It's a little too childish to last into adulthood.

I think Julie, Eleanor, Claire and Anne are all lovely names. Eleanor and Anne are my favourites - Eleanor Anne or Anne Eleanor would be great.

Ellie will only work for a toddler.  Eleanor is a beautiful, classic name, and you can use Ellie as a nickname.  I've never liked Julie - it's just too cutesy.  You can never go wrong with Anne, and Claire isn't bad  either.  I vote for Eleanor.

Out of those five, my favorite is Ellie. But I really prefer it as a nickname. Why don't you consider a name like Brielle, Estella, Stella, Bella, or Arabella? Then you can call her Ellie. You could even name your child Eleanor and call her Ellie. Then you'd be killing two names with one stone!

I feel the same way about Julie. How do you feel about a name like Julianna or Julianne and then calling her Julie as a nickname?
