I can't connect to a desired wireless network on my laptop, as it just automatically connects to another one??

I have been having this problem for about a month! HELP!

Now when I start up my computer it automatically connects to one (IL0) when I want to connect to (DLINK) and double click it, it disconnect's ILO and then it automatically reconnects it back to ILO, when I need it to connect to DLINK??

HELP!

It's not password protected, its acctually's next door neighbours wireless but i used to to use it all the time!! :(

  1. What Windows are you on?

    If in XP;  Right click on the wireless icon on the taskbar (by the clock)

    Select "view available wireless networks"

    Click on "Change the order of Preferred Networks"

    Find "DLINK" and "Move Up" to the top of list

    Click "OK"

    Should work from then on


  2. Well, when your desired connection is not opened (due to security or maximum connectivity) it automatically connects to very last Wireless Connection you have used recently.
