I have a Linksys wireless G router. I has been working fine and I have had this problem before but was able to fix it by troubleshooting and reconnecting wirlessly. This time, when my internet starting acting all crazy and going bezerk, i went through the troubleshoot in the Easy Link Advisor and even that didn't work. It would say checking router, then obtaining wirless settings, then it would say checking computer (this is where it all goes downhill. Then it would say establishing a wireless connection, but don't get too happy because after a half second, it goes back to checking computer. A long 10 mins pass and it says that it couldnt connect with the router. Help pleez.

  1. Open the internet browser (even if it wont connect to the internet)...type in: 192.168.1.1 (That is your router's IP address).

It will bring up a site and a username/password box. Your username leave blank. In the password section type in "admin" (minus the quotations). Click ok.

It will bring up the Set-Up for Linksys. Click every tab (however, do not change information). At the bottom it will say Save and Close (or just Save)...either way click this. Click the X and exit the browser.

Now click Internet Explorer again (reopen). It should be connected the internet. If it isnt, try an easy to load site (google or yahoo), if neither of these open, email me for a more advance set-up option: owenmtoomey@yahoo.com
