I can't cope with school anymore, help?

Question

I'm back at school in a couple of days and I really can't cope with it. All of the teachers are patronising, most of the pupils are thugs or wankers and there is far too much homework and we are doing our GCSEs a year early and worst of all, my Mum died recently. I'm going to have to stay on to do A levels to get a decent enough job, so I'll have to stay an extra 2 years. So all together I have to stay another 4 years and I can't do it.

There are various issues here;

You are still grieving and a great many things will be difficult at the moment.

Re school you need to talk to somebody - do you have a pastoral or form tutor or indeed a teacher you trust. Why not try and speak to them on a personal level away from the school timetable.

Personally I would consider looking at changing schools it sounds as if you need a break. Do you have to take your GCSEs a year early - could you defer your A levels and do some kind of voluntary work before doing them.

When you are 17 you could do VSO I have found something like this really changes ones outlook on life and provides valuable experience for the future.

I guess your family are going through hard times as well even though as a teenager it is easy to assume that you are the struggling the most.

There are always alternatives it is just being imaginative to find them and brave enough to try them.

Sounds rough my best advice is to take a step back and breath!!!!! Then look for a school that better fits you.

look wise up homework is importent but i didnt do much and i got good grades as long as u get 5 c-a* ur allright try to get them in maths sciance and english though and as for a levels if u dont want to do them do some aprentace or sumit instead
