Well first off Edgar Allan Poe's the Raven is like 3 pages long so I would recommend reading that. It is a classic and a quick read. As to the other books, if yu are into vamps like u name says the Vampire Kisses series is well written and fun. Interview with a Vampire is 100 times better than the movie. and although I havent read Beauty by Robin Mckinley I did read her book Sunshine which was great so her book should be just as good.

Definately anything by Jodi Picoult. She is an amazing writer and her books are gripping and heart-rendering.

Nineteen Minutes - which has a school shooting by a victim of bullying - was the first I read, and I couldn't put it down. You saw it from the view of various characters, and it gave you a real insight into someone elses mind.

My favourite would have to be My Sister's Keeper. A young girl undergoes various operations to help her sister with Leukamia. Without giving too much away, the girl makes a choice which could tear apart her family and hurt the sister she loves so dearly. It contains many twists, and is very moving.

You should definately check out this author, you won't be disappointed.

FORGET THAT.. OMFG YOU HAVE THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES BY MALORIE BLACKMAN ON THERE.. SHE'S LIKE ONE OF MY FAVE AUTHORS EVER!!! BUT.. READ THAT, FIRST YOU SOOO NEED TO READ THE NOUGHTS AND CROSSES TRILOGY BY THE SAME AUTHOR!!!!!!!! SHE'S SO AWESOME, SHE HAS LOADS OF OTHER AWESOME BOOKS AS WELL, ALL OF WHICH I HAVE READ!!!

(Btw.. The Stuff of Nightmares scared me like h**l, but i loved it!)

Just so you know, the Inheritance Cycle is the name of the Eragon series. And I recommend those. Inkheart is also amazing.
