I can't decide on engagement ring...?

Question

I've chosen a setting, but I can't decide whether I want a round or princess. I like the fluidity of the round in the center, and yet, the princess looks modern and stands out. Help?!

neither one of those links work, but i personally like princess cut better, mine is a princess cut. however i think most women like the round cut. that is considered the 'traditional' engagement ring

I wish the links worked so I could see and compare. Personally I love rings that are different. I think the classic round stone is nice for some but for me I think different styles stand out more. I would go with the princess cut.

Round cut is more brilliant; I think it looks prettier and more classic. Princess is a current fad.

I prefer the princess, but I lean toward Tacori's designs. They're both modern and classic at the same time.

but as far as stone shapes, keep in mind that generally for the same carat weight, rounds will appear larger than princess because princess cut carry most of their weight on the bottom.

your right princess is more modern, but keep in mind its a trend. do what feels right for you, and what you're going to love for all the years to come! both are beautiful choices i'm sure, but i'll check back so i can see if the links are fixed and give you a more specific answer.
