I've been trying to download Avast Antivirus for about 3 days now.

I already uninstalled my other antivirus so I really need help getting this one on here ASAP. I've tried using Firefox & IE. Neither work, both end up doing the same thing. The program starts to download and then stops anywhere from about 1%-80% and just sits at whatever amount it stops at. I tried to download something else just to test and it does the same thing, so I know it's not just Avast.

--Additional Info--

I'm using an IBM Thinkpad T40

Windows XP

PLEASE HELP! :)

  3. You probably have a virus. Have you tried doing a full virus scan?

I recommend downloading a copy of Avast using another PC then transferring it over via a write protected USB stick.
