I'm 38 weeks and 6 days pregnant with our first baby, I am being induced on Tuesday so tomorrow is my last day of work. Today is a BAAAD day, I can't even walk hardly! I walk to just the bathroom and back (maybe 20 steps) and I get this immense pressure on my pelvic bone like he is really really really low or something. I am having really bad back pain today as well, I don't think its contractions because its not like stopping then starting its just constantly hurting today but gradually getting worse. I want to try to make it a little longer, I wonder if I should even go into work tomorrow, when I do walk it honestly feels like my legs are going to give out on me, they get really really heavy feeling and start to kind of sting a little bit. I just walked down to my car in the parking lot (which is a little far) because a co-worker gave me a big ole garbage bag full of baby clothes and blankets and shoes that her grandson hardly or never wore and he is only 4 months. (yes I am going to wash them as soon as I get home) and I regret doing that like I never want to walk that far to my car ever again. I just got back and I'm hurting, my back is killing me and I feel like if I tried to get up from my desk to do something else my legs would give out on me or my pelvic bone would bust or something LOL. Any advice?

  1. i would be very careful. You could be having back labor. I would call your doctor as soon as you can and ask their opinion. Definitely not go to work tomorrow. If you are not in labor and having this much pain I would not risk hurting yourself. You need to be able to relax.

    good luck

  2. you need to rest now or try to walk easy.. rest often...

I got swallow feet because of standing too much and it was not fun thing

you getting to your due date that why you feel like you can not walk.. so take it easy..

  3. Poor girl! Do yourself a favor and don't go to work! You are so close and obviously in a lot of pain. I say you chill on the couch with some snackfood, watch all your favorite movies, and relax. Congratulations and good luck!! You're almost there!!! :)

  4. Girl, enjoy tomorrow off! I worked today and I have been begging to go home for the last freaking 4 hours! Shoot...who knows, our babies may end up with the same birthday! :)

  5. Well speaking from experience and being on bed rest since 32 weeks and crawling to the bathroom and standing and sitting making me cry i can understand.  But after 37 weeks your considered full term the pressure that you are feeling is the baby engaging itself in your pelvis and your bones separating so I wouldnt be surprised if you go naturally they are taking my girl out on monday coming.  Ihave had that same pressure for weeks.  I would call in tomorrow and take a load off your feet maybe think about going on early mat leave no one will blame you because you need to take care of # 1 you and baby from this point on.  Your not super woman

  6. Sounds like you might be starting labor pains. I cant remember what its called but i think they call it back labor since most of your pain deals with your back. I would call out of work. Your baby at 38 wks should be fine. My three where 35, 36, 37 wks and all three where healthy :)

  7. I would definitely NOT go into work tomorrow. I mean why would you? Why push yourself? I would leave work now and go home, or call your doctor from work and ask him or her what to do.  Good luck with everything and congrats   :)

  8. First off congrats!! I still have a little more to wait. I think the only thing that would help me get through the last few days is just knowing that it is just a few more days till I hold my baby! Go home, relax, don't worry about making dinner(order out if you can or have your spouse make you dinner). Watch a good comedy, and get to sleep earlier. You're almost there!! You can do it!!
