  1. I get that a lot too. Thoughts race through my head and I can't seem to make myself sleep. When that happens I meditate. Lay on your back in the dark and quiet and close your eyes. Concentrate on every muscle in your body, starting with your toes, and "melt" them. Try to focus on your heatbeat, and keep your thoughts and emotions at bay. Soon you'll start to get drowsy and peaceful, and you should just let yourself fall into the natural sleep cycle your body starts during this process.

If all else fails, take Tylenol PM or some NyQuil

  2. take nyquil

  3. Soft music helps me. Just shut off all the lights turn off your TV and listen to soft music to help you relax. Do not eat chocolate or drink a soda.

  4. Try thinking about only one thing like counting. Try reading a really boring book. Take a warm bath to settle down. Try warm not cold milk. If all else fails take melatonin. It is safe and made for sleep.  My kids doctor recommends it for my kids and you can get it at any pharmacy or grocery store. Don't ever take things like Nyquil to go to sleep, thats not what its for.

  5. i used to have a huge problem with sleeping. I couldent fall asleep until 5 or 6 in the morning and i would sleep until noon the next day. You can try eating some cherries, they make you tired and that might make you sleep. But you have to eat like 20 of them to feel the effect. But that didnt work for me so i got some sleep meds ( tylenol simply sleep ). If the cherries dont work, take the tylenol for 3 nights and set an alarm clock early in the morning so you get about 8 hours of sleep. After three days ur sleep cycle should go back to normal and you should be able to sleep without the meds.

  6. Try lying in bed and endlessly counting in your head until you eventually fall asleep.  This always works for me.

  7.   How about trying a hot milo or cocoa drink made with milk. Anything made on milk will help you relax and fall asleep more easily. Have this about an hour before you retire.
